Niall Quinn receives Hall of Fame Award

Written by Simon Wade

Sunderland chairman, Niall Quinn received yet another accollade last week, as he was awarded his Hall of Fame recognition from long standing Show Racism the Red Card supporter Dave Anderson MP and the Mayor of Sunderland City Council.

Here we show pictures of the ceremony, held before the Fulham game on 27th of October at the Stadium of Light.

Also presenting Niall was Show Racism the Red Card workers and former Sunderland players Kieron Brady and our very own Gary Bennett.

Show Racism the Red Card is now in it’s 12th year and back in 2004 we decided to award Hall of Fame awards to our longest standing patrons and supporters.

In the past, individual awards have been given to recipients such as Sir Bobby Robson, Ian Wright, Gary Lineker, Dave Bassett & Thierry Henry (and Benno, of course!)

Ged Grebby of Show Racism the Red Card said: “This is an award for Niall Quinn’s support for our campaign as a player and now Chairman of Sunderland AFC.

Niall has been a great ambassador for our campaign here in England and also in the Republic of Ireland. It has been an honour to work with him.”
