Following on from the annual SAFC former players Golf Day was the 'Five Helping Hands' Golf Day held on 30th July at Seaham Golf Club.

The Winning team was "Captain Matty Black" which included Jimmy Montgomery.

The winning former player was John MacPhail.

Overall individual winner of the day was Chris Lowe of "Team Mango Restaurant" which included Ronnie Routledge.

The former players who attended included Nick Sharkey, Jim Montgomery, Gary Bennett, Dick Malone, Bobby Park, Ron Routledge, Derek Weddle, Cecil Irwin, Jimmy Shoulder, Gordon Armstrong, John MacPhail, Dickie Ord, Clive Bircham, Eric Gates & vice president Norman Howe.

The day raised just short of £1,500 clear profit.

May we thank everyone within the former players association for their support, which without, we would be unable to attract so many teams to the competition.

We look forward to next years competition & hope all "The Lads" enjoyed themselves.
